Sugacurls Salon is Houston’s one and only natural hair and health services. We seek to provide synergy between a healthy inner body and healthy hair. Our unique educational system help clients accomplish their goals. Sugacurls consultations are premium. We are looking for a humble, professional, talented, dependable candidate to take part in our Apprenticeship Program. The candidate is not required to have clientele although this is preferred. The owner has 20 years hair care experience and will personally train the candidate. The stylist can be a cosmetology graduate or in school close to completing their hours. This position will under go 4 to 6 week initial training to be followed by continued Sugacurls Salon Education.
Hours/Compensation:
Training: $8 per hour for 4 weeks
Full position: Base hour pay ($9/$10 per hour + commission on services & retail)
Job Duties :
Assist Master Stylist in daily salon functions
Light Errands
Shampoo, condition, blow dry, prep clients for color & styles
Wash, dry & fold towels
Mop, sweep, empty trash bins
Greet clients & cater to their needs
Style Clients
Qualification Requirements:
High School
Some College
Cosmetology License
Almost Completed Cosmetology License
Knowledge to perform basic natural hair styling: braids, twists, perm rod set, silk press, blow dry trim, up-dos
