Licensed Natural Hair Stylist & Braider

Overview

Pampered & Twisted Pearland is seeking Texas-licensed braiders and natural hair stylists with experience in multiple natural hair styling techniques; including but not limited to the following:

Braiders – box braids, micro braids, jumbo braids, individual braids, crochet braids, cornrows, senegalese twists, spring twists, bomb twists, nubian twists, goddess braids, halo braids

Natural Hair Stylists – twists, flat-twists, three-strand twists, mini twists, twist-outs, braid-outs, finger coils, bantu knots, perm rod sets, flexi rod sets, silk press, blow-outs

Required experience: Basic knowledge of and passion to work with naturally curly, wavy, kinky hair beyond just blowouts and silk presses. If you bring the passion, we’ll train you!

The successful braider and natural hair stylist must also:

Be able to work under pressure
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be patient and pay attention to small detatils
Be able to work long hours on their feet
Listen closely to their clients’ wants and needs
Be able to follow instructions
Keep up with the latest beauty trends
Earn the trust of their clients
Closely follow safety, sanitation, and health standards
Required education/certification/licensure:

High school or equivalent
Cosmetology school
Texas cosmetology license

Required education:

High school or equivalent
Required experience:

braiding and/or natural hair styling: 2 years
Required license or certification:

Texas Cosmetology License
