Luxie Extension Studios is currently look for an intern to join the team PART TIME.

MUST BE VACCINATED OR PLAN TO GET VACCINATED BEFORE STARTING
(A few medical exemptions apply. Must be able to show vaccination card)


This is a two and a half month, three part internship. Most “certification” classes charge you hundreds to thousands of dollars for a single day or weekend course and set you on your way. That does not make you an expert or really prepare you to become a talented hair extension specialist. At Luxie Extensions, you’ll be learning one on one from an extension master. You can’t beat that level of training. Plus there’s a permanent position on our team with the right candidate. NOTE: Due to Covid-19 concerns, we are only offering mobile services to our clients. You may drive yourself to the client’s home or you may ride with your trainer.

REQUIREMENTS
___________________________________

Texas Cosmetology License
Must live in the Dallas area
Working vehicle
Working WiFi with good connection
Be comfortable using smart phone apps
Be proficient with Facebook and Instagram
Access to a smartphone or computer
Available Thursdays and Fridays up to 8 hours
A doll head with at least shoulder length hair and stand

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE:

~One on one hands on training on microlink, keratin, tape in,
and micro beaded weft extensions.
~Certificate of Completion
~Free extensions after internship has concluded
~$100 Bonus after internship is concluded

YOU WILL BE ASSISTING WITH THE FOLLOWING:
_______________________________________________________

~Hair extension prep including custom coloring and texturizing
(off the scalp extensions), tipping hair extensions, etc.
~Facilitating the application process
~Performing maintenance and removal services
~Some client booking and correspondence via the Luxie Texting app and/or Square app
~Take payments via Square or Venmo apps
~Taking before and after photos
~Social Media post management like Facebook and Instagram

THE INTERNSHIP

MONTH I / PART I : OCTOBER 17 – OCTOBER 29

~Extension theory
~Virtual courses
~Testing to ensure comprehension
~Assisting with clients


MONTH II / PART II : NOVEMBER 4 -NOVEMBER 26

~Weekly classes on the proper application, care, maintenance, and removal of i tip, k tip,
micro-beaded weft, and tape in extensions.
~Special cutting techniques for hair extensions
~Styling techniques
~Assisting with clients, hands on experience



MONTH III / PART III : DECEMBER 2 – DECEMBER 23

~Weekly classes on the proper application, care, maintenance, and removal of i tip, k tip, micro-beaded weft, and tape in extensions.
~Assisting with clients, hands on experience
~Find a model
~Perform practical knowledge of what you’ve learned on a real live person (you are responsible for supplying a model. If you can’t supply one, you will have to use a doll head.)
~Receive hair extensions on yourself.
~Recieve $100 Bonus
