With a Rice MBA graduate founder, Assembled is in the business of hair not just doing it.
Hiring immediately! We are looking for motivated & team focused stylists with experience in hair installs (weaves, microlinks, fusion, braiding patterns, cut and style)
You are:
Someone who thrives in a dynamic, ambiguous, & fast-paced startup
A recent cosmetology graduate or soon to be graduate
Knowledgeable on curly & kinky hair textures
Detail oriented & driven by performance aspirations
Adaptable
Up-to-date with industry trends
Passionate about hair installations & want to specialize in it

What We Need
Job Description – Cut/Style
Recommend hairstyles and haircuts according to customer’s face shape and personal style
Cut & trim hair using professional equipment
Job Description- Shampoo
Wash, rinse & blow-dry client’s’ hair using appropriate shampoos, conditioners, & styling products (e.g. for low-porosity hair or dry scalp)
Apply hair treatment products, as needed (e.g.hydrating masks, protein treatments)
Job Description- Braiders
Interview clients to assess hair quality & determine if the style that they have requested can be managed
Determine braiding pattern according to requested style
Job Description- Installers
Install extensions using various techniques (basic MicroLink, sew-ins, tape)
Determine best install service for client given their natural hair health
Create natural looking styles
Requirements
Valid State of Texas Cosmetologist license (Or currently enrolled in school & close to finishing)
Training will be provided but applicants must have hands-on experience & competency in various cutting techniques ……….
Training will be provided but applicants must have hands on experience & competency in braiding techniques
Training will be provided but applicants hands on experience & competency on various install methods
Ability to work with & be a part of a team
Strong Communication skills
High standards of personal appearance & professional behavior
